I don't know whether it will work for you or not but I got the result.
The followings are guidelines to hard reset the
HTC Sensation XE and XL from T-Mobile. It will erase all old data and
applications on the cell phone.
Method 1:
1) Select Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset
-> Reset phone
2) Confirm with Erase everything
Method 2
1) Hold the volume down button while power switch on or restart the
cell phone
2) You will not get to the boot menu and select
"Factory Reset". You may navigate the menu with volume up/down keys and select with power button.
3) Now the cell phone will erase everything in it and reboot
itself. The cell phone HTC Sensation XE or XL will be factory reset after the process is complete
